You have probably never been to a church quite like Legacy Baptist. We don't separate parents from their children, because the assembly is only one facet of Biblical training, and must be reinforced throughout the week by knowledgable parents. We use traditional hymns, not because we're traditionalists, but because we have judged the music to be most honoring to God, and the words to be most consistently doctrinally rich and theologically sound. We pray as a church, not ritualistic prayers or liturgies, but earnest and humble petitions to God for our needs and desires. We memorize Scripture as a church - because God's Word is life and light. We use the King James Bible, not because we have to, but because through careful research we believe it to be the best translation currently available. We know we aren't for everyone, but you may just find that we are, in fact, for you. We invite you to come and see what we're about, and how you might fit in!

But we preach Christ crucified , unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks,
Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
- 1 Corinthians 1:23-24
The Bible says in Ephesians 4:11-12, "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ". Church isn't just about fellowship, it's about training you for the work of the ministry. If you are a believer, you have work to do, and we aim to train you to do it.
Hebrews 10:24-25 teaches, "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." That means God wants you in church: we believe that, and we teach it.
If God wants you here, then God has a place for you to serve. 1 Corinthians 12:14, 26-27 teaches, "For the body is not one member, but many...And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular." Everyone has a part to play in Christ's body, we want to help you find your part, then live it.
Simplicity and Godly sincerity: that is our goal. Assembly with God’s people is intended to strengthen and teach you to go out into the world and win them to Christ. We assemble with that goal in mind: to equip God’s people to do the work of the ministry. Every aspect of our worship and every standard we hold has a reason rooted in our understanding of the Word of God, and we would be pleased if you would join us!
Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
- 2 Timothy 2:14-16
What should I wear? Our church has people who dress up, and dress casual. The church greatly appreciates those who desire to look their best for the Lord, and we are glad to explain why we believe it is proper. However, you will not feel uncomfortable or out of place if you come casual. All we ask is that you be modest and God-honoring in your appearance, demeanor, and actions.
Do you use the King James exclusively? Yes we do, however, please don't form a hasty opinion about us because of what you have read on the internet, or put us into a box without first getting to know us. We have reasons, they are sound, historical, and biblical; and we'd love to share them!
Is Sunday evening the same as Sunday morning? Not at all. Sunday night is a new service, with a new sermon. The Bible is too big, and Christian fellowship is too important, for us to only have one service per week. Come ready to learn and grow!
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.
- Ephesians 6:10-12
